SHOWA gloves with EBT are designed for accelerated biodegradation in biologically active landfills. Independent certified laboratories carrying out long-term biodegradability tests according to ASTM D5526-12 reported that SHOWA gloves with EBT attained 82% biodegradation in only 386 days, while gloves without EBT attained only 1.9% biodegradation in the same period. These results may not be indicative of future biodegradation.
