Cut Resistant Gloves

It doesn’t matter what job you’re doing – protect yourself with the right cut-resistant gloves.

Cut-resistant gloves are just that – gloves designed to protect your fingers and hands from cuts and lacerations while completing an array of jobs. While there are dozens of different types of cut-resistant gloves on the market, not all are created equally.

Cut-Resistant Gloves: What You Should Be Looking For

Protect hands from potential hazards with cut-resistant gloves.
Cut resistant gloves are essential to your workplace safety. In the workplace, your hands are subject to many hazards. They can be caught between pinch points, be exposed to sharp objects, endure repetitive ergonomic stress, experience slips, trips, and falls, and encounter various line-of-fire-hazards.

SHOWA has created a range of multipurpose cut resistant gloves for a wide variety of medium-low risk applications. With a variety of glove shell materials, palm coatings, cuff lengths, glove or arm protective features, wrist fashioning systems, and more, you can refine your
search to select a cut resistant glove for every application.

To increase your hand safety and protection, consider three main polymers. Flat-dipped and offering the exceptional grip SHOWA customers know and love, each provides their own unique cut resistant qualities.

Polyurethane

A microporous elastomer plastic, polyurethane cut resistant gloves offer many advantages. Flexible and elastic, they carry no latex proteins and do not shed particles like other polymers. With strong resistance to abrasion and oil, polyurethane does not harden in cold or soften in heat but maintains excellent perspiration capacity due to its porous ventilation.

Natural Latex

Composed of natural rubber derived mainly from latex and tree rubber, natural latex coatings are very robust, maintain a strong grip and flexible elasticity, and give good abrasion resistance. Protecting against weak acids, caustics, alcohols, and detergents, natural latex coating further offers protection against viruses and bacteria.

Nitrile and Foamed Nitrile

With no latex proteins, nitrile and foamed nitrile resists oil, grease, hydrocarbons, acids, certain organic solvents, pesticides, oils, and fuels.

Superior Level of Cut Protection

You have many options for cut resistant gloves to best suit your needs. Through ANSI/ISEA protection standards, you can find lower graded A1 – A3 level protection all the way through A9 level cut resistant safety in order to choose your material for your specific use and glove safety cut resistant requirements.

SHOWA offers a variety of cut resistant liners and lengths to maximize donning and doffing while minimizing splash or contact hazards to hand, wrist, and forearm areas. SHOWA lining options, combined with a strong selection of coatings, offer non-abrasive functionality, durability, tactility, and cut resistance against lacerations and snags.

Where Cut Resistant Gloves Can Be Used

Cut resistant gloves are essential in numerous industries and for additional home projects and recreational pursuits. Different cut resistant liners and coatings comprise gloves at a variety of protection levels.

Such cut resistant gloves are useful for: construction, DIY projects, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, municipal services, glass, aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, metallurgy, utilities, mechanical, and more.

Durable, flexible, and strong cut resistant gloves and arm coverings can give you optimal protection during various activities, including plumbing, manufacturing, handling heavy equipment, canning, engineering, brick laying, component assembly, steel fixing, flashing and sealing, window manufacturing, draining and piping, HVAC, and more.
